Fernando Alonso: "The performance of the car seems slightly better for us here in Austin so far and it's our third Q2 of the season.

"We will start a little higher thanks to some penalties around us, but that does put us out of our natural position. I think we could be defending more than attacking, but anything can happen here and it should be an interesting race."

Lance Stroll: "I felt pretty good in the car yesterday, but we lost a lot of running today in FP3 because of kerb damage, which limited our progress. In Qualifying I had a lot of oversteer and no rear grip. It was the most challenging session of the weekend so far. We'll look for opportunities tomorrow."
